Hi team,
I’ve noticed a recurring issue since the latest update with Franz not respecting campaign preferences. Even when I provide a clear setup for my campaign, Franz consistently generates quests and storylines that ignore those parameters.
For example:
I explicitly defined my campaign to focus on piracy, crews, rivalries, and a rising bounty system.
I also made it clear that I did not want artifacts, relics, cults, rituals, or arcane nodes to be central to the story.
Despite this, Franz keeps generating quests around sunken temples, lost relics, or forgotten rituals—completely against the direction I set.
This breaks immersion and makes it really hard to keep a consistent campaign tone. It feels like the AI is defaulting back to generic “ancient mystery” plots instead of respecting the custom instructions we provide.
Why this is a problem:
Players who take time to define campaign goals/themes expect those preferences to guide the story.
Ignoring these setups forces us back into generic questlines, even when we’ve been explicit about avoiding them.
It reduces trust in the system, since it feels like our prep work is disregarded.
Request:
Please look into how Franz prioritizes player-provided campaign settings and introductions. These should take precedence over generic quest templates, especially when players are explicit about what they don’t want.
Thanks for your time, and I hope this can be addressed—it would really help campaigns feel more personalized and consistent.
