I understand the need for long backstory and personality information for Franz to characterize individual characters separately, but I think it ruins a lot of the vibe to have that information visible to players.
Appearance is reasonable to be always viewable, but similar to the ‘hide unknown entities’ toggle, it would be valuable for actually exploring the world and having interesting plots and characters to have that information not be visible to players.
As an example, if someone's hunting your PC or your party or something. And your character runs into them at a tavern, where they try to buy you a drink. Currently if you looked at the character sheet you would see that they're a bounty hunter or whatever immediately. But if by default all you could tell was their appearance, it'd make it much more interesting to try to figure out character motivations and intent, if they're not totally transparent from the beginning.
