map overhaul update suggestion

so something ive found when creating a big map with the AI generator is how diffacult it is to make multiple areas on the map be naturally on the same map (like a birds eye view of an entire island with small townerns around the place like POI but when you zoom or select the area it will like enlarge it or make it more detailed). its just so annoying how the AI image generator keeps going “oh you want a small empty ocean? heres the entirety of the USA” like i didnt ask for that. so to fix that idid some reasech and found dnd beyond (yes i didnt know it had a map as i didnt get a proper look at it until today :) make of my intellagence as you will) that they have a map builder. and i dont mean like this website map generator i mean you get to make props and put it together like a lego build or you being the level designer of a game. it makes building levels so much easier and more detailed as you get to build each and every single prop and structure for you map (grantaded you can tell it was designed for small maps such as a bridge crossing or a POI but how hard can it be to just zoom the thing out and put a little less detail in for a world map)

so my preposal is this:

using something simular to dnd beyond map builder to let players make maps with more detail and more believable and real. using sticker like objects to place them around the world to say add a broken building or a cart instead of the AI image generator making… well i honestly dont know how to say this honestly and not so harshly so im not even going to try: half ass of what you want while also making something completly different. now you can use that AI image generator to be the dnd beyound sticker browser by having it generator some props for you so you can have (theroediclly) infident props (ignoring my shit spelling, thats ether my autism or some sort of hidden undiscovered dexlexia that is small). this adds more flexability to players buildings and lets players make say a map full of different islands (as so far when ive attempted to do that the response the AI gave me was bloody antartica. i mean yes its a island, just a really really big one but even than i asked for 48 not one so its kind of hard to see how thats related and look on the bright side)

another thing that would be great if this update happens in the ability to cut holes into areas so creatures from different areas dont spawn in places they shouldnt be spawning. an example of what i mean is the map i was trying to build is a big island with a ocean surrounding it with smaller islands holding dragons and other ocean factions and sea life. however i want those creatures to only spawn in the ocean to add a sort of progression system because it would be unfair for players to be attacked by a end game monster like the screaming death from how to train your dragon after you are just walking through the forest after just entering the world. or have a kraken attack you on land. like its suppost to be in the ocean, not in mongolia in the middle of a desert or something. this allows certain creatures stay in certain areas instead of having them overlap each other and have a small chance of having a end game boss spawn. another advantage this has is it allows allows a more flexable spawn rate of logical monsters and encounters and could be improved with this next feature

a while back i mentioned making a global map that can unload and be a loaded and completly seprate from other golbal maps allowing you to have say a orbital section or star wars galaxy maps have more stuff and POI on the planets. like a video game or in star wars jedi fallen order does it. now i have thought of more ways that can be improved: when you go to a POI you kind of have a new map appear of the area and it doesnt show the global map so you already have 70% of the code done for you, you just need to change the conditions and the end results along with the trigger for the map so it is do able and would really go well with a map overhaul update. now this could be done be adding say a portal POI that lets you travel to another map when entered as someone requested something simular as well wanting to make different dimention maps (anyone getting fjordur vibes from ark survival evolved :) because i am). this this consept this allows players requiring to go to a spisific location to travel to the new map. for the orbial map it could be a rocket launch POI labaled portal. for that demension it could be a acient temple with 3 portals on the POI map that players have to walk through to go to the next global map. this could be expanded even further to allow cave entrances to large underground worlds (like where all of the dinosurs are in ice age or make a hollow earth from monstervers for anyone wanting to make godzilar fight king con again) allowing you to add POI in those caves instead of it basiclly being a ant tunnel like the current caves would be (i honestly cant remember if caves are in the AI code but the way POI work it would likely just be a rimworld cave system). you could also have it be a area instead where players that enter that area causes the previuse area to unload and the new map to load using the cutting area tool i mentioned

another thing you could do is add biome areas to the map to allow players or the AI to have a basic event system as well, such as needing to wear warm clothes during a blizzard when you enter a snowy mountain or needing scuba gear when say entering the underwater par of the ocean to battle say… the kraken for example (has anyone ever punched a kraken before? that would be fuuny :P wouldnt it). another thing it allows is a more controlled spawn rate of monsters where spisific creatures can be assigned to have a increased spawn rate in that biome while letting them have a seprate spawn rate in other biomes. like say a wolf in the forest having the current spawn % chance being say 12%. but in the snow mountain it has a 68% chance increase overriding the other spawn rate as wolfs have fur so they would likely be in the mountains more (i could be wrong as out of all of the random shit ive googled in my down time animal behavour isnt one of them mostly human behavour). this could also be further expaned by having it where players suffer a debuff to say magic in snowy regions because of frostbite or when you add the resource update (looked at your roadmap and i got to say its pretty orgnised) players in the desert have to drink more due to the sun. what also could work with these biomes is vehicles as there is essentally nothing stopping you from walking on water across the alentic ocean to go from china to easter island instantly but having these biomes could be a gate system where the code checks if the player has say a boat in ether there inventory or a seprate party thing for equipment (like vehicles, npcs, camps, camp defences, horses, stuff like that so you can tell the difference between player party and npc party). this way if the player has a boat it will be equipped and they get put on a like mini map or POI map of their ship incase they want to say explore the boat. if they dont have a vehicle for that biome (like the ocean) than they will be stopped and be ether forced to hire, build, or find a boat, or they can just roll a dice and prey to what ever god they believe that they dont become the next dave johns when they swim their way across the water. if this happens it could be like a huge increase in monster spawn rates of say the sea creatures for example. this opens so many possiblitys to the vehicle system if you ever add it (also have another seprate vehicle system like a tank for example for combat as well. or they can be both in the same vehicle system but modify the travelling system for the slower the vehicle it is as world war two tanks are about the same speed as you walking across the country while modern day takes is like “we have a armed tank, we need it to go fast. but its slow. lets just throw a ferrari from fast and furios into the take and walk it drive down a highway like it was in a race track”).

another thing the map could have is some sort of weather system like say a natural disaster or a thunderstorm that travels around the map allowing players to need to prepare for journeys instead of just going “now you see me. now you dont.” and the next thing they know they never once touched a trader. this could go with the events and maybe be optional or require the developer of the campaign to make a circle system with arrows and adjust it to still follow a loop however it could go more on the top part of the map or do a zig zag.

another thing the would be cool is if the AI can generate events. like they need to speak to the quest giver however the AI generated a event where the village is being raided by bandits forcing the player to fight them or do a additunal quest to save the quest giver. or you know, the AI can just say “yeah mate the quest giver, he was down with his grampa when this happened so his perfectly ok”. think of some of these events as road blockers to make things more engaging (this is more of a idea in this part as i need to play more to get more of an idea on how well developed the AI is in giving story and you just reacting as multiple times i had to do the next part (this is very rare and probebly happened because i went from a normal conversation to someone bursting into town or something so that one could have been my fault and the next part would have been interduced after a few extra messages). granted it is still in early access so, thats kind of expected as ive have seen what AI has developed into from start to finish (yodayo for example, i think i first come around to the site 3 weeks before they finished early access and my god the site has change by a lot. and some of those changes get taken back probebly because it had to do with people wiping out there credit card more often and werent happy with doing so so they took the feature back to keep people happy. and after a few back and fourth it seems everyone comes with a compmise by, giving you a countdown or access to free stuff but a lot of none free stuff but both still give the same overall result which is funny as hell to watch as i just pop in to claim my daily tokens for me to find that they changed it from 500 to 100 so i go ok, just means i will have to wait a little longer to come back 3 days later to find that its back at 500. than 30. than 200. and finally 30. its like watching two people not being able to decide on a feature and keep fighting over it like a child wanting more cake while other sibling wanting more as well so they keep stealing the cake off the plate and putting it back on the plate. while it is funny i honestly hope this doesnt happen here because trust me with the amount of stuff already going on on the site and my short memory being exsitent and non exsisted at the same time memories overlapping with stuff that is no longer the case go really annoying) anyway keep up the good work)

one last thing (god i didnt expect this to be so long which is funny as i look at other peoples requests and i just see a maximin of 3 lines and when you look at me feedback you basiclly are opening a loot goblen inventory to trade and start hearing dark souls three boss music because of how much stuff is here. ill never get that song out of my head when i think of stuff like this) how do you make a ballista monster like thing? as i want to make a fort with defences on it however i dont want a stationary weapon that i know im going to have to make a monster go and walk off or something as last i checked ballista are bolted down to the ground and cant walk up to you for melee combat
