This is more of a shower thought, but hear me out.
When you complete a big quest, the idea is to let the player/players be able to rest without having to go into Downtime mode and hope no world ending insert cursed item here for the x6 time gets brought in immediately.
I guess I’m suggesting a way to code in a timer where it lets players breathe for a moment instead of completing a quest, then it’s back to the grind again because the King remembered the OTHER big bad you must destroy post haste.
