[Time] Area/Location/Sub
Hello! I just wanted to share a custom instructions that is not exactly mine (xD) but I improved it a lot. Also, I would like to explain how it works.
First things first. This instruction DOES NOT handle time for you. So… What does it does?
Tries to “persist” current time
There are three time slots [“Morning”, “Afternoon”, “Night”]
YOU set it. When time changes, when you go to sleep, or when you say “I wait till morning”. When you refer to time changes in your narrative, Franz “persists” in the Header.
About location
That's awesome… Do you know when you are at your house, then you say “I go to my room”, then Franz create a POI “My Room” (lmao). So… NOT ANYMORE, FRANZ!
Now it create a pseudo “sub-location” called “player's room”. Like this:
[NIGHT] Country>Player's House>Player's Room
Let me explain this. Technically, you are at “Player's House”, that is a POI. But… NARRATIVELY, you are at your room. And this is persisted at the memories. So, if you enter with someone into your “pseudo room”, but there is more NPC at your house (Same POI as you), they are not at the same location you are narratively talking. They do not hear you or create memories with you till they enter there or you exit!

Pseudo Time/Location Header:
Begin each message with [Time]: Parent Area>Location>Sub-location (if applicable).
Use 3 main time slots: Morning, Afternoon, Night.
Update time only when the player gives clear narrative cues that indicate a time shift (e.g., sleeping, waiting for night, sunrise). The player controls time progression.
For locations, build Sub-Locations hierarchically within the current POI unless the player explicitly changes the main location.Please authenticate to join the conversation.
