Npc dialogues

“Do we continue or do we rush ?” “Wanna go left , or right?” “Should we investigate the basement, or should we leave it alone ?” “We continue?” “ We check?”

Can they freaking stop with this dialogue structure cliché of asking everytime the player wich decision to make ? “should we do A or B ?” Everytime. I have so many custom instructions to try counter it but I just can't. While I'm here with the dialogues I will say it again, dialogues structure and timing are not realistic, sometimes dialogues should, no, MUST be at the very beginning of the message, like an IMMEDIATE response, not with first the narration, then the dialogues, that create bad timing, and not realistic.

Also with their dialogues, they repeat the words we said earlier at the beginning of their dialogues, I want a good sense of conversation, not repetitive, they must begins their dialogues with innovation and creativity, with new words, not by repeating the previous words, and npcs dialogues doesn't really deal and are not very intelligent with a complex conversation, like complex arguing or complex situations (maybe Gemini is better but still with it they are many problems like the one I mentioned earlier)

For me npcs in a game is one of the most important thing for a immersive experience. Their behavior, dialogues, must Impact the story like the player can, they must be the possibility of an important dialogues that shape the story, also like meaningless and slice of life dialogues. Yes, about this, I want more enhancement about “meaningless" Dialogues, like we can talk about nothing endlessly, without impacting too much of the story, but still having a REAL conversation, like talking complexly, debating, about the lore, the informations or other aspects.

Right now, I feel npcs , especially their dialogues are just serving their role and their persona, yes they can talk about other things, but they're opinions and way of talking are bit generic. Especially with the “Should we do A or B?” Oh my god just the fact of thinking of that makes me angry again lmaooo
