NPC dialogues trope

Especially in our party, I don't really like npcs always asking the player what to do next or waiting for his decision. On a mission, in an adventure, they always at some point turn to us and wait for our decision, it’s not autonomous. (“What do we do now ?” He turns towards the player “Should we continue or hide?” For example.) even if we are not the leader, or if we are equally ranked, they always ends their dialogues with a question about our decision.
