Firstly let me say that I’m absolutely blown away by how impressive F&F is. I chose the legend subscription right away because I knew I had five interested players, and at least 15 custom instructions I wanted to set. I’ve dabbled with KoboldCpp, but a locally hosted model on my single GPU can only do so much before everyone starts getting impatient. I also have several years experience with FoundryVTT, and have even written a couple of custom modules.
The biggest gap I see so far with F&F is the data. We love our crunchy D&D data, character sheet management, our cherished spells, items, feats, etc. My suggestion to the Developers of F&F is to not try and reinvent the wheel regarding SRD data. IMO, go ahead and continue offering the “Include 5e Defaults” option at the free tier. But please also write a new feature to be able to link (and ingest) the character data from DDB via the player’s cobalt cookie. DDB has an API to give you everything you need in JSON. People would gladly pay a higher tier of subscription in F&F if it meant their characters could be automatically—and RAW-accurately, uploaded into F&F. For example, just recreating a single character in F&F from an existing in DDB I had to file three Bug Reports due to missing conditions, bad item data, and broken subclass spell progression. The inventory management UI is painful. And I don’t think I found anything that’s tracking attunements and feats are nonexistent (?). While Franz is amazing, the current level of data brokeness could be a deal-breaker for my rules-heavy group.
Here’s a guy that’s been enabling transfers of characters and purchased content back and forth between FoundryVTT and DDB for several years (they haven’t shut him down). I presume it’s not just as easy as obtaining the JSON, but also vectorizing it in coherent chunks as well. But I’m sure looking at his code—maybe hiring him to incorporate this functionality, would make your F&F subscribers very happy. If the vectorizing DDB data legally could not reside on your cloud-hosted systems, there are all sorts of other approaches you could do in the user’s browser instead.

BTW, I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is if you’ll take this admittedly huge feature request to heart. Just reach out.
