Relationships Tab Should Include Family Tree for Characters.

Much like the title above. I think long-term the Relationship tab needs to be revamped to include a Family Tree OR Family Trees being it’s own thing down the road for world builders.

It would allow us to proper connect families together instead of trying to list all the family connections somewhere on everyone’s character sheets and thru the current relationship status.

Second, for certain areas of the world/world building with a more noble/politic spin to it often requires knowing who is connected to who and how various Houses/families interconnect going back decades if not centuries.

As for how such a UI, in my eyes, would work or be designed. Granted this will be how I’m just used to seeing them. But I would look at the Crusader Kings 2/ Crusader Kings 3 Games and how they design their family tree as that is the core concert of the games series.

There even mods for these games that improved on the base UI imo as well as other opens. I did fire up the game to take a screenshot or two just for a visual of how they do it.

Personally, the one with the lighter/whitish background is the one/way I personally would go if it was 100% up to me. It’s only shows the CURRENT character your looking at direct ancestors up to the great-great grandparents if known. This in reality more then most worlds will every need for world builders. The one nice feature of this one is that you can simply left click on any of the other Characters, so parents and grandparents, and that character becomes the ‘Current‘ character selected shown by the bottom right portrait who is the currently selected character. The family tree above them would update to reflect the change in character focus.

The second one is the default game UI for CK3 today. It shows the same information but it is more focus on the overall family, including distant family branches. While Useful! I think it would be overkill for most world building worlds. But being able to search distance branches of the family IS a big benefit so maybe a even longer term plan and nothing soonish.
