Travel System

Sorry wanted a short rant but short rants isn't something I can write it seems lol.

It's been a while since I played a campaign where I tried walking place to place, esp ones without a lot of premade pois. So maybe it would feel better if I just make the area larger and fills the place out pois wise.

But I personally find trying to travel from one point to another inside of even villages and towns annoying to deal with, not just this campaign but one or two I tried elsewise but I found myself fighting the system as it is to get a experience I found enjoyable. Which I used to be able to obtain much easier unless I'm just remember fables thru rose tinted goggles here.

Naturally hard to explain exactly the pain point properly. But something just feel off or wrong to me with the experience. To me it just feels the traveling/moving place to place is just...**rigid ** is the best way to explain it in how franz processes things now and moves us around.

To be fair maybe its me needing to adapt to a new way of wording/writing things. But for this event here: 019acd64-0fec-770a-9e89-1442a441f6ac

I wrote this for the message: "Ves smiles warmly as she gives a few more parting words before turning to walk into the village of Cressa. Her smile fades a little but remaining on her face as she glances at the various villagers moving about along the dirt road making up the street. Her eyes scanning the well trotted place of her youth. Nodding to a few villagers to return gestures from people who recognize her."

What I would expect ideally is for Ves to simply walk into the village Cressa, since were at the edge walking into the place. I add the glances around at various villagers because I've learned over time this tends to help Franz to mention things in passing along the way as the character walks. Seems simple to me. Were just walking into the village nothing more. I haven't stated I'm doing anything more then this in my latest message.

What I get from franz: He creates a new POI for the streets, or alley, or whatever term I use in my message. Which isn't something I desire in the first place but he always seems to create streets and such by default now if none are made nearby.

He then does ok with the narrative and people you see walking. But the core issue here is he just keeps walking far beyond whatever I would have expected or desired. Why?

Because 2-3 messages before, and likely in the plot I assume. I mentioned to someone on the road my plan was to head to the butchers in the village.

So because of this mention in passing to a guy on the road. Franz makes a direct line drive to the butchers, who happens to be on the streets poi he just created by the way. Not only that the butcher walks us to the character directly as if he has a 6th sense that I was coming to talk to him, naturally Franz knows which is why all this happens. All this in one message from me touching the EDGE of this village.

**Basically it's this last part that kills this traveling system for me** as it's working. And I've tried instructions trying to get Franz to chill out charging me straight to the places and people I mention even in passing. The amount of times I just bring a poi up while walking around in conversation and the next message has me teleporting there to be greeted by the npcs in charge of the place when all I wanted to do is walk down the street in that direction has to be over a hundred times over the past months at this rare.

I know months ago when I was fleshing out my large town in another part of the world. I would simply and easily write messages where I can simply go explore the town at my own pace. Sure the north/south/east/west movements were off a bit at the time. But it didn't affect the narrative where I could simply say I walk down a street and turn right at a intersection to see what was around the town. Now it just feels like I'm bouncing around from poi to poi as if using a teleporter.
